This outcrop, which features faulted and folded sediments possibly related to an earthquake fault, is on the eastern shore of Dabob Bay in Jefferson County. But what’s underneath this area? Now you can find out. DNR’s Division of Geology and Earth Sciences has just published three new quadrangle maps showing important subsurface features in Jefferson, Kitsap, King and Snohomish counties.

These newly updated maps join the ever-expanding library of DNR publications that provide geologic information on a wide variety of subjects. And they are, of course, free to download.
